Loan Servicing Associate (Part-time)

General Function
The Loan Servicing Associate position conducts various lending administrative and production functions. This position also ensures compliance and adherence to company policies and procedures. In addition, the Loan Servicing Associate validates accuracy and completeness of processed loans, integrity of system data and loan documents while protecting the interest of the Credit Union.
Major Responsibilities
Under the direction of the Loan Servicing Manager, the Loan Servicing Associate has the responsibility to perform the following essential functions:

2. Maintain all post-closing administrative duties of loan production, including, but not limited to, reconciling loan funding packages, imaging loan documents, and general ledger balancing.
3. Maintain, monitor and track collateralized property deeds and titles, ensuring correct liens are perfected.
4. Monitor insurance coverage and creditor-placed insurance on collateral. Process all credit insurance claims.
5. Process loan payoffs and lien releases.
6. Responsible for drafting departmental procedures and process for management review.
7. Process loan adjustments, recasts, and amortizations, when required.
8. Assist in the maintenance of Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) and Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HMDA) loan reporting.
9. Process Tax Escrows, Tax payments and Homeowners Insurance
10. Develop and maintain processes and report to ensure quality assurance and system data integrity.
11. Contribute to departmental and/or corporate projects.
12. Work with external business partners (Allied Solutions, CUNA Mutual, credit reporting agencies, PSCU, etc.) that provide Credit Union products or services to clarify and resolve any issues.
13. Participate and contribute to a positive team work environment which encourages team commitment to corporate and departmental goals.
14. Maintain a complete knowledge and comprehension of Credit Union policies, guidelines, and credit union philosophy.
15. For the purpose of maintaining Credit Union goals, it is the responsibility of each employee to strive for the continuous quality improvement of processes and quality of service to internal and external customers.
16. Must abide by all federal, state, and local laws set forth by applicable agencies including but not limited to: The Bank Secrecy Act, including the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) and Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN); Uniform Commercial Code (UCC); Federal Reserve Bank; and National Credit Union Administration (NCUA).

Position Requirements. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. 1+ years related experience/training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
3. Knowledge and understanding of credit union philosophy preferred.
4. Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with the members, outside contacts, and all levels of the organization.
5. Ability to work independently and as a team member, while using discretion in decision making and sound judgment in problem solving.
6. Ability to research and compile information for the purpose of recommending alternatives to processes to effectively complete job functions.
7. Ability to set priorities, analyze and evaluate situations and results.
8. Ability to present a professional image when dealing with members, co-workers, management and outside contacts.
9. Ability to change within working responsibilities, be it internal, market or regulatory driven.
10. Proficient PC skills, with the ability to learn new software.
11. Ability to exercise confidentiality and discretionary judgment.
12. Ability to deal with pressure to meet deadlines and remain accurate.
13. Ability to handle a variety of professionals, potentially stressful situations, and conflict.
Physical and Mental Abilities
- Sitting the majority of the time.
- The ability to occasionally lift, push, pull or carry up to 10 pounds.
- Occasional bending, squatting, twisting, climbing, reaching above, at or below shoulder level, and kneeling.
- The ability to meet deadlines and maintain accuracy.
- The ability to effectively interact with all personality types in stressful situations.
- Excellent ability to communicate effectively.
- Occasional travel required.
