We’ve been made aware of a phishing scam targeting cardholders.
Based on reports, members have received calls from the phone number, 475-242-9743, telling them that their card had fraudulent activity on it or needed to be activated. They were then asked to enter their card and PIN number.
Here’s what you need to know to protect your account:
MSCU will never call you to ask for your card number and PIN. Your PIN should remain confidential
MSCU will never call to ask for your social security number or account number. However, if you call us we may ask for this information to verify your identity before disclosing account information
If you receive a call from the number listed above, or any other number asking for your personal information, please call us immediately at 1-800-761-2400, option 5 so we can ensure the security of your cards and account
