Nominations to run for a position on the Mutual Security Credit Union's Board of Directors may be submitted by petition. The election will not be by ballot and there will be no nominations from the floor at the Annual Meeting when the number of nominees equals the number of positions to be filled.
The Nominating Committee recommends Robert Basta to run and serve for a one-year term, and for Robert Marages & Bruce Likly to run and serve
for a three-year term.

Bob is a retired Senior Engineering Manager for Advanced Reconnaissance Systems for the BAE Systems Company. Bob received his BSEE from Fairfield University, School of Engineering, and his MBA from Florida Institute of Technology. Currently he serves on MSCU’s Board of Directors and the Supervisory Committee.
“Having been a member of MSCU since 1966 and seeing that no other type of financial institution can duplicate the benefits that a credit union gives its members! I would like to continue as a Director to lend assistance to MSCU and use my years of experience to benefit its members.”
Bob Marages is a recent retiree after 45 years’ experience as an Information Systems professional earning a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from the University of Connecticut and a Masters of Business Administration from the University of New Haven. He is also an Accredited Information Systems Auditor (CISA). Bob was formerly on the Board of Directors of the Technology Groups Federal Credit Union (TGFCU). He resides with his wife, Debbie, in Middlebury, CT. Together they have three children, Katie, Kelly, Mark and a granddaughter, Alice and a grandson, Elliot.
“Having been a member of both the TIMEX Federal Credit Union (TFCU) and Technology Groups Federal Credit Union before becoming involved with Mutual Security, I have firsthand knowledge of what credit unions can do for their members and would like the opportunity to assist in moving Mutual Security Credit Union forward in its dedication to providing products and services to benefit their members.”
Bruce Likly is President and co-founder of TribuCast™, a patent-pending remote funeral attendance system with clients established across the US and overseas. Likly’s experience includes developing and implementing technology and communications solutions that help businesses build a competitive edge and address changing market conditions. His experience spans a wide range of industries including funeral services, healthcare, manufacturing, professional services, and distribution.
Prior to TribuCast, Likly was co-principal of Kovak-Likly Communications a leading independent healthcare communications company. He also held various positions at IBM and Sun Microsystems, including responsibility for the Department of Defense and large civilian contractors. In these capacities, Likly managed teams as large as 100 employees and was responsible for sales, marketing, process improvement and change management.
Likly is a multi-engine instrument-rated pilot, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Mutual Security Credit Union and is past Chairman of the Board of the Wilton, Connecticut Board of Education.
Current member-owners who are interested in becoming candidates must submit a Letter of Declaration to the Nominating Committee along with the signature of at least one percent (280) of the Mutual Security Credit Union membership. If there are no additional candidates for the Board of Directors, the nominees listed will be automatically installed as
directors at MSCU’s Annual Meeting on May 17, 2023.
