Marketing Coordinator (Part-Time) - Shelton, CT

General Function:

The Marketing Coordinator will assist with the day-to-day activities of the marketing department, such as developing blog articles, updating promotional materials, and posting to social media. This position also requires the incumbent to work on various marketing projects as requested, including ensuring all communication to the public, membership and staff is well-written, coordinated and disseminated in a timely manner.

Major Responsibilities:

  2. Support – provide general support for the marketing team, including communicating with various departments, updating forms, and ordering promotional materials for the credit union.
  3. Content Development - assist in the execution and development of internal and external marketing materials by updating or creating content for various communication channels including employee intranet, social media, and email.
  4. Website – assist with updating the website, including blogs, events, SEM implementation, etc.
  5. Social Media – assist with our social channels by crafting and posting content, interacting with community members, and reporting on success.
  6. Data – support the team with a variety of data projects, like user analysis, AB testing results, inbound source analysis, marketing reporting, etc.
  7. Research - identify and evaluate competitive products’ characteristics, market share, pricing, and advertising; maintaining research databases.
  8. For the purpose of maintaining Credit Union goals, it is the responsibility of each employee to strive for the continuous quality improvement of processes and quality of service to internal and external customers.
  9. Abide by all federal, state and local laws including, but not limited to: The Bank Secrecy Act, including the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) and Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCen); Uniform Commercial Code (UCC); Federal Reserve Bank; and the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA).

Position Requirements:

  • - 1-2+ years of professional marketing, social media, or related experience that may include internships, work/study programs, coops, and summer employment
  • - Experience with Adobe Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) is strongly preferred
  • - Strong writing, editing, proofreading and layout/design skills are essential
  • - Effective time management skills and ability to coordinate multiple tasks with interweaving schedules
