2025 Mutual Security Credit Union Calendar Contest
Theme: Local Flavors
Showcase your community's culinary delights by submitting photos of local dishes,
farmer’s markets, food festivals, or the vibrant food culture that makes your community unique.
Here are Some Ideas
- Capture the essence of home cooking: Share a photo of traditional family recipes passed down through generations, for example, a steaming plate of grandma's famous meatballs.
- Behind the scenes: Share a photo from local farms, fisheries, or orchards that provide fresh ingredients to restaurants and families alike.
- Cultural celebrations: Share a photo of a community potluck representing diverse heritages.
- Street food delights: Showcase the energy and unique culinary creations of street vendors, such as iconic food trucks known for their tacos.
- Global influences: An example is a photo of a family enjoying Ethiopian food in their neighborhood.
- Sustainable practices: Share a photo from community gardens, farmers markets with a focus on organic produce, or composting programs.
- Backyard bounty: Celebrate the freshest ingredients! Share a photo featuring homegrown vegetables, fruits, and herbs thriving in your backyard or community garden.
Contest Period
Submissions accepted from May 1, 2024 - August 31, 2024.
Eligibility
Entrants must be a member of Mutual Security Credit Union to participate.
Photo Eligibility
• Photos must be taken by members.
• Photos including people as the primary/identifiable subject will not be accepted.
Entry Terms and Conditions
• Number of Entries Allowed: 2
• Photo format: Given that the intended use of the photos submitted and selected is for the 2025 printed calendar, we require a certain quality of photo. Photo submission must be a digital photo (jpg, tiff, or png) and at least 300 dpi to be considered. Only horizontal pictures will be considered and must fit the 11”x8 ½” calendar format. Photos with too low of resolution will not be entered in the contest.
• Submitting members must own the rights to their submitted photographs.
Photo Release / Use Rights
If a submitted photo is selected, the photographer releases all rights of the photo to Mutual Security Credit Union and gives consent to use the photo in the 2024 calendar and any related social media posts or marketing materials.
Prize
• The top 12 will have their photo featured in a month spot in the MSCU 2025 Calendar (placement to be determined by MSCU) and will receive an MSCU Swag Bag.
• Top voted photo will get a $100 Visa gift card, second will receive a $50 Visa gift card, third, $25 Visa gift card.
Judging
Contest winners will be determined by a panel. Winners will be announced September 2024!
